| Salem Ice Dogs Win 2 to 1 in Overtime | | The Ice Dogs traveled to Rockland on Friday night and played a solid game against The Bay State Breakers. Bay State would score first at the 14 minute mark of the first period. The score would remain 1 to 0 for 40 more minutes of play until Mark Moran broke away from center ice on a feed from Zak Ray and Ryan Duggan and went in to score 12 minutes into the third. The third period ended with the score tied 1 to 1 on what was obviously a battle of goal tenders. CJ Palmer was in net for the Ice Dogs and turned away 32 of 33 Bay State shots. The overtime period was brief as both teams played recklessly for the win. Just 82 seconds into sudden death overtime, David Chiaradonna picked off a Bay State pass and raced for the net with a Bay State defenseman in tow and roofed a backhander for the game winning goal.
