| Ryan Duggan named offensive player of the month. Ryan had a phenomenal November posting 24 points in 8 games. His 13 goals included 9 on the powerplay and one short handed goal. He had 2 hat tricks and a game winner as Salem went 4-3-1 for the month. Ryan is tied for the league leadership at this point in the season. He is a quiet Captain who leads by example, both on and off the ice. His 6 PIMS in 8 games testifies to that. Off ice, he helps run the local youth learn to skate program and is always there to offer a ride to a team mate. Louis Gallego named defensive player of the month.
It is rare when two players of the month come from the same team, but the fact is that Louis led all defensemen in scoring for the month of November. In 6 games, his 3 goals and 9 assists gives him a solid 2 points per game average. He shines on special teams. Six of his assists were on the power play and he registered a short handed tally in a 9-7 win vs. South Shore. His low PIMs indicate a solid performance on the blue line from a veteran who picks his spots. |
